![]() With COVID-19, for the first time in 30 years, we could not do this program because it encouraged people to gather for Santa. It is a much anticipated family tradition in our area, and we even have photos of parents today taking photos with our Santa and their children as they did with their parents decades ago. read moreįox, The Burton Fire District, in Beaufort County, SC., has been doing a community Santa for over 30 years where we bring Santa into the community on a trailer with fire trucks, and Santa hands out holiday safety candy and poses for pictures. I get to see him and know how he is doing and he knows we love him and are thinking of him every day. I feel like I’m delivering goodies to somebody in a treehouse. This has become one one of the highlights of his week that we both look forward. This is a picture of me delivering his stocking and presents on Christmas morning you can see him over the edge of the balcony on the fourth level and me down on the ground and the bag of goodies on its way up to BILL. ![]() Usually I have taken his stocking over about 11 PM on Christmas Eve and hung it on his door knob but since I can’t get in the building now to visit him or even drop things off we’ve been using the bag which he lowers from his fourth floor apartment down to the ground and I fill it with his goodies. I called him on the phone and told him that he must tie the rope to the bag and when I came we would use the bag for deliveries. The rope, of course, was hidden in the bottom of the bag. Several weeks ago I took a carrier bag filled with goodies and a 50 foot rope over to him and delivered it to the desk at the front to be delivered up to him. Every few days I try to take him something like a "happy meal" or a magazine or something to entertain him during his hours and hours alone. At this point, he is in his room and cannot even go out into the hall. Since March my father has been in quarantine at his retirement home. With local malls not having Santa to visit, I was determined to give them the experience of Christmas Magic. As a four year old girl and a three year old boy you can imagine the phase of life they are in. They were a huge constant in our lives during the shut down when going places were limited. At this time we met our neighbors and she created a special bond with their little boy Remy. She was building relationships and really enjoying doing so. She was loving socializing and being in a classroom setting. Also, not having been relieved from disability and having been previously convicted of a felony drug abuse offense, he allegedly possessed a firearm. On or about July 1, 2021, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to another with a deadly weapon. BAER, age 73, of Fayette, OH, was indicted on one count of Felonious Assault, one count of Having Weapons While Under Disability, and one count of Aggravated Menacing.
